Ricoh model numbers explained: IM, IM C, MP, SP, Pro and Aficio
IM C3510SD tells you the generation, whether it prints colour, roughly how fast it runs and what is bolted to it. Once you can read one model code you can read the whole range.
Getting two or three copier quotes is sensible. Comparing them is harder than it looks, because each supplier quotes a different configuration, a different contract and a different way of charging for pages. This guide shows how to line quotes up so the cheapest one on paper is also the cheapest one in practice.
The short version: pick the speed class from your monthly volume, compare the same configuration, and compare total cost over the contract, not the machine price.
Print your current meter readings (mono, colour and A3 if shown) and work out a typical month. That number decides the class of machine, more than any wish for speed. A machine run close to its limit every month needs more service. A machine far too big for the work is money sitting in a corridor.
As a reference, Ricoh's current A3 office ranges run in these classes (published A4 speeds):
| Ricoh range | Models and published speed |
|---|---|
| A3 colour (IM C) | IM C2010: 20 ppm · IM C3010: 30 ppm · IM C3510: 35 ppm · IM C4510: 45 ppm · IM C6010: 60 ppm · IM C7010: 70 ppm |
| A3 mono (IM) | IM 2500: 25 ppm · IM 3000: 30 ppm · IM 3500: 35 ppm · IM 4000: 40 ppm · IM 5000: 50 ppm · IM 6000: 60 ppm |
Our guide to Ricoh model numbers explains what the letters and digits mean.
Copier speeds are almost always quoted for A4. An A3 sheet is twice the size and passes through the machine more slowly, so the A3 speed is much lower on every A3 copier. If your office prints drawings, spreadsheets or posters, ask each supplier for the A3 speed of the exact model quoted.
Check that every quote includes the same:
A low price on a base machine often grows once the trays and finisher you need are added.
Most copiers in the UAE are sold or leased with a service contract that charges per page. Ask each supplier:
Then multiply by your real monthly volume over the length of the contract. That total, plus the machine cost, is the number to compare.
Buying outright, leasing and renting each suit different businesses. See buying vs leasing a copier in Dubai and our copier leasing page.
Gtech FZE is an authorized Ricoh distributor in the UAE, with machines and genuine consumables in stock in Jebel Ali Free Zone and in-house engineers across the Emirates. Send us your meter readings and the configuration you need, or an existing quote, and we will price a Ricoh machine against it line by line.
Speeds are as published by Ricoh, checked on 9 October 2026. Ricoh may change specifications without notice. This guide is general information; prices and contract terms depend on each supplier's quote.
Start from your monthly volume, not from the speed you would like. Print the meter readings from your current machine, work out a typical month, and choose a class that handles it comfortably without running at its limit.
An A3 sheet is twice the size of A4 and takes longer to pass through the machine, so fewer sheets are printed per minute. Ask every supplier for the A3 speed of the exact model they quote.
Check whether the cost per page covers toner, drums, parts, labour and travel, whether there is a minimum monthly charge, and what engineer response time is written into the contract.

The purchase price is the part of this decision people argue about and the part that matters least. Here is what the three-year number is actually made of, and the questions that change it.
Contract end dates, the data on the old machine's drive, scan-to-email settings, user codes and toner stock. What to sort out before you replace your office copiers, whatever brand they are.
