How to compare office copier quotes in the UAE

Six questions to ask any supplier
- Are you an authorized partner for this manufacturer? Ask to see confirmation. A genuine partner will not mind being asked.
- Who honours the warranty in the UAE, and for how long? Get it in writing on the quote.
- Was this machine supplied for the Middle East market? Ask for the serial number before delivery.
- Is it new, refurbished or used? All three can be good value. You just need to know which one you are buying and what warranty comes with it.
- Are the toner and parts genuine, and are they stocked in the UAE? Ask where they come from and how quickly they arrive.
- Who services the machine, and how quickly? Ask where the engineers are based and what response time is in the contract.
Why genuine consumables matter
Toner and drums are designed for a particular machine. Genuine Ricoh consumables are what Ricoh tests its machines with, so print quality, page yield and service terms are what the specification says. If a contract allows other consumables, ask how that affects the warranty and the service agreement before you agree.
